Positions Available:

(All positions require 30-50 hours per week with 2-3 days off)

1. Drivers: (CDL not required) Include portage, lifting up to 50 pounds, clean driving record, age 21 or older.
2. Housekeepers: Clean rooms, make beds, distribute supplies and complete other housekeeping duties. Lift up to 30 pounds.
3. Front Office: Assist our guests with general information, booking tour and activities, answer questions, strong sales skills are a plus, register guests, make reservations, cashier. Requires strong computer skills. Extensive public and telephone contact with the public.

Uniforms/ Employee Housing:

Uniforms are required and consist of a company issued shirt and employee provided pants. Detailed uniform requirements will be discussed at the time of hire. A common kitchen area with cooking facilities is located in employee housing area of the hotel for all employees to use free of charge. Limited employee housing is available on a first come basis.

• Hotel Edgewater has employee housing located on the property. Rooms are dormitory style with 1-4 employees sharing one large room, depending on size. Each room has its own bathroom - No bathhouses. The hotel has a kitchen area and laundry.
• Pets are not allowed in employee housing.

Transportation:

Transportation to and from Alaska is at the employee's expense. While it is not necessary, you are encouraged to bring a private vehicle or bicycle, as it will allow you to explore the surrounding areas to the fullest. Specific transportation information for each hotel can be obtained if you are hired.

Appearance and Expectations:

We expect our employees to maintain a conservative and conventional appearance while on the job. With guest service as our main priority, hairstyles must be neat and well groomed at all times, uniforms must be clean and ironed, piercing is limited.

Federal law requires all employees to provide positive documentation and proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Foreign applicants must provide eligibility to work in the US prior to applying. We will need at least a social security card and a photo driver's license.

Hotel Edgewater reserves the right to randomly drug-test all employees.

Bonus:

A seasonal bonus is available to employees who complete their employment contract.
